Yesterday proved to be a spooktacular one at Northern Dental Access Center! There were two Halloween costume contests: one between the Administrative team and one between the Clinical team. There was also a Potluck between the staff members at noon with plenty of creepy, crawly eats and treats!

Northern Dental Access Center was happy to partner with Bi-CAP Head Start on August 17th to provide dental screenings for little ones entering Head Start this fall. On site at our clinic were also hearing and  vision assessments, physical check ups, nutritional advising and height/weight checks. Thanks to everyone who helped to make this day such a success! We will see you all at the next Head Start day in October at Northern Dental!

We are trying to show our appreciation for our patients by offering different treats, light refreshments and other goodies towards the end of each month. Please feel free to munch on these yummy snacks, all of us at Northern Dental are happy that you're here!

Last Friday, May 18th, was the first Senior Smiles event held at Northern Dental Access Center! The clinic invited local community partners to set up booths throughout the building to provide helpful information to the senior community in Bemidji and the surrounding area. The event offered live music, tours, dental screenings and was topped off with an ice cream social!

Northern Dental Access Center had a couple of smiling faces at the Community Service Day event held at Paul Bunyan Mall in downtown Bemidji on May 19th from 10am-5pm. It was exciting to see the other booths that were set up at the mall and the team was able to meet many people from the surrounding area!

Our entire clinic was in attendance at the Sanford Center on Monday, April 30th for the Ruby Payne: Bridges out of Poverty seminar/workshop. Our staff was able to learn a lot about our area demographics and bring a positive outlook back to the work they all do as a part of our community.

Many of Northern Dental's staff traveled to St. Paul to attend the Star of the North conference held April 26th-28th. There were many wonderful presented and thought provoking seminars that the staff could choose to participate in. This conference proved to be a fun and educational experience!

Northern Dental Access Center is very happy to introduce a new program that recently launched February 1st, 2012. The Significant Improvement Club (or "SIC" club as we like to call it) is designed to motivate teenagers about good oral health! There are four areas we are focused on improving: overall gingival health, plaque control, calculus control and caries (cavities) experience. When significant improvement is achieved, the patient receives their report along with an incentive to continue improving! Again, we are thrilled to début this new program and we are looking forward to the success of this new club! You have a SIC Smile!
