December 15, 2011 was our annual office holiday party. This year's party was full of Secret Santa gifts, an Ugly Sweater contest (with two categories: store bought and homemade) and an array of delicious Italian themed food! After an enthusiastic modeling of all the contestant's sweaters, it was decided that Megan and Ashley had won the Ugly Sweater Contest! Happy Holidays everyone, from all of us here at Northern Dental Access Center!
On Monday October 31st, 2011 staff at Northern Dental Access Center had fun dressing up for Halloween! Did you know: chocolate candy bars top the list as the most popular candy for trick-or-treaters with Snickers holding the #1 slot and Americans purchase nearly 600 million pounds of candy a year for Halloween? That's a lot of sugar! Be sure to take extra good care of your pearly whites this spooky holiday!
On Saturday August 21, 2010 Northern Dental Access Center hosted our first ever Charity Rummage Sale to benefit the United Way of Bemidji. It was a hot, steamy day, but we had an awesome turnout and a lot of fun as well. All the merchandise was donated by our staff and members of the community – Thanks everyone!
On June 29, 2010, Northern Dental Access Center representatives attended the MN Rural Health Conference in Duluth to receive the 2010 Rural Health Team Award. This prestigious award recognizes all those individuals, agencies and organizations whose hard work made this facility possible; as well as the dedicated staff who work every day to continue our success. Accepting the award are (from left) Carol Kelly, (Parish Nurse, People’s Church and Beltrami County Family Health); Sherry Schmickle, (Beltrami County Family Health); Warren Larson, (Sanford Health and founding NDAC board member); Jeanne Edevold Larson, (NDAC Executive Director) and Jessica Trueblood, (NDAC Programs Director).
NDAC celebrated summer with a Patient Appreciation Picnic on June 12, 2010 at Diamond Point Park. Stittsworth’s was there serving up brats and hot dogs; and there were plenty of games, balloons and prizes for the kids. The picnic served 200-300 people and delivered food to several local organizations.
