Staff Profiles


	Ashley – Front Desk/Reception Ashley graduated from Grand Rapids High School and is a certified paraprofessional. She has enjoyed her years of working in customer service, and also worked at the elementary school in Deer River. She and her fiance’ are the proud parents of a little girl.
	Carey – Licensed Dental Assistant Carey is a Licensed Dental Assistant and has been working at NDAC since it opened in December of 2008. Carey especially enjoys working with children at the clinic to give them a fun dental experience. Carey is married and has two grown children. Her hobbies include hiking, camping and taking kids to the park.
	Erica – Front Desk Supervisor Erica graduated from Bemidji State University with a degree in Biology in 1997. She joined our staff in April 2009, and is currently the Front Desk Supervisor. She is an avid reader, loves crafting, and is the proud mother of one teenage son.
	Katie – Licensed Dental Assistant Katie attended Park Rapids High School, and graduated from Northwest Technical College as a Licensed Dental Assistant. She is married and has two young boys. Katie enjoys biking and playing tennis.
	Melissa – Community Resource Connections, Service Access Advocate A resident of Bemidji since high school, Melissa graduated from Gustavus Adolphus College with degrees in Sociology and Anthropology with an emphasis on Psychology. She joined the Community Resource Connections team in 2008 and set up shop at the Northern Dental Access Center shortly after it opened in 2009. When Melissa is not working, she can be found attending community events, reading, cheering on the Bemidji Show Choirs, or trying her hand at various arts and crafts.
	Mark – Business Manager Mark is a graduate of Moorhead State University and Northwest Technical College. He serves as Northern Dental Access Center’s Business Manager, as well as being a self-employed accountant in the Bemidji area. His hobbies include woodworking, landscaping, playing guitar, and spending time with his family and animals. Mark is married and has two children.
	Lindsay – Licensed Dental Assistant Lindsay is a lifetime resident of Bemidji, graduating from Bemidji High School. She received her Dental Assisting degree from Northwest Technical College. She has two dogs, Lucy and Marley, and is an aspiring gardener.
	Jessica – Programs Director Jessica graduated from Bemidji State University in 1998 with a BA in History and English, and more recently completed the Medical Coding and Billing programs at Northwest Technical College. Jessica loves gardening, photography and everything outdoors. She has been with the Access Center since it opened in 2008, and is the proud parent of a young son.
	Lisa – Treatment Coordinator Lisa is a life-long resident of Bemidji, and graduated from Northwest Technical College as an LPN. She has worked in various health-related fields since 1989. She enjoys helping others and spending time with family and friends.
	Leah – Licensed Dental Assistant Leah is a self-described small town girl who grew up in Bagley and went to college in Bemidji. She loves her work and feels that if she can make someone’s day better, she has accomplished her goal! Leah and her husband live in Bemidji with their new puppy, Bella.
	Jillian – Licensed Dental Assistant/Scheduling Jillian grew up in Grand Rapids and graduated from Hibbing Community College in 2006 with a Dental Assisting degree. She enjoys spending time with her busy toddler, and is expecting her second child in the Fall.
	Jennifer – Licensed Dental Assistant Jennifer graduated from Northwest Technical College in 2006 with a Dental Assisting degree. She enjoys making jewelry and spending time at the lake.
	Dawn Holcomb – Licensed Dental Assistant Dawn graduated from Northwest Technical College’s Dental Assisting program in 2008. She has two teenage children who are very active in sports.
	Katie – Registered Dental Hygienist Katie graduated from MSU Mankato in May, 2010. In her free time she likes to read, rollerblade and be with her friends and family.
	Jen – Registered Dental Hygienist Jen grew up in Brainerd and graduated from Lake Superior College in Duluth with an AAS degree in Dental Hygiene. She loves animals, enjoys spending time with family and friends, and being outdoors.
