Central Elementary is only a few minutes from our clinic in Bemidji but we were happy to come on-site to see many new faces and offer oral health education to those who received a cleaning at the school! Thank you for inviting our Community Based Program back into the school for the second time, we hope to see even more new faces next spring!
It was the second consecutive year that our Community Based Program was invited into the Blackduck School to offer preventive dental care to children who meet Northern Dental's income eligibility guidelines. We were so happy to return to this site because of the overwhelming support the staff and students have given us! We look forward to coming back next year to see everyone again! Keep brushing your teeth!
Northern Dental Access Center has received a grant from Healthier Minnesota Community Clinic Fund which consists of a portable dental unit. A team which consists of a Dental Hygienist and a Dental Assistant will be able to perform preventative services such as cleanings, sealants, fluoride treatments, oral health instruction, and screening for decay and other oral health problems. Our goals include preventative services and proper referrals for the elimination of pain and disease for this under served population, as well as to provide education and increasing awareness of oral health and it's impact on overall wellness throughout our community.
Click Here to download a Child's Medical History Consent Form. (it will need to be filled out completely to be seen for preventative services.)
